Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has launched India’s largest Greenfield Domestic Cargo Terminal (DCT), a 245,000 square feet facility. The DCT, which spans over 7 acres, has a peak handling capacity of approximately 360,000 metric tons and can expand to 400,000 metric tons.

It features 42 truck docks, over 400 specially designed cargo bins, conveyors, and real-time data capture. The terminal is equipped with cutting-edge technology and digital solutions, including real-time shipment tracking, data analytics tools, and enhanced communication systems.

The terminal will also have dedicated storage areas for specialized cargo, such as valuables, vulnerable items, live animals, dangerous goods, and radioactive materials. It is compliant with Indian Green Building Council standards and aims to support future growth while reducing its environmental footprint. The terminal integrates eco-friendly features.
