VMC sanctions three flyovers worth ₹164 cr

The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has approved spending 164 crore rupees to build three flyovers in the city. In this regard, the standing committee of the civic body had previously approved the DPRs for all three flyovers, which would have cost 46.4 crores, 59.62 crores, and 58.28 crores correspondingly and be built at Sama Crossroads, next to Sardar Patel Estate, and Vrundavan Crossroads. The Vrundavan flyover and the Sardar Patel Estate flyover are the two projects that are situated in the city’s eastern regions. According to an official spokeswoman, the state government has agreed to partially fund the flyover projects, but the local authority would be responsible for the excess costs.
