Telangana to build ₹18,000cr dignity housing units

Municipal Management and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rama Rao informed the Telangana government that it plans to build two-bedroom dignity homes for the poor across the state, which will cost more than Rs 18,000 crore. The largest Dignity Residence project in Asia is located in the Ramchandrapuram area on the outskirts of the city of Hyderabad, which will soon be launched by the state government. The Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and the Ministry of Housing have completed the mega project comprising 15,660 2BHK houses and municipal infrastructure facilities on over 144 acres at a cost of Rs 1,422 crore. The minister also announced that a modern social function hall will be constructed at Khairatabad on the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) site at an investment of Rs 100 crore.
