Shri Nitin Gadkari releases ICEMA’s CE Industry Catalogue

A groundbreaking CE Industry Catalogue was released by ICEMA. At the opening of ICEMA’s Annual Session on July 12, 2022, the Catalogue was presented by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways. The catalogue, which aims to strengthen the reputation of the Indian CE industry, demonstrates the country’s manufacturing prowess for a wide range of hi-tech equipment in addition to offering thorough information and connections to key CE industry participants like OEMs, suppliers/vendors, financiers, and other players. Through multinational suppliers establishing production bases in India, the catalogue aims to promote Indian CE products in worldwide markets and aid in attracting investments in the Indian CE industry. Please contact the ICEMA Secretariat for information and questions regarding the CE Catalogue.

The Construction Equipment (CE) industry eco-system in India is characterised by a large number of participants, including traders, lenders, suppliers, and OEMs. While ICEMA has been trying to strengthen the nation’s strong CE environment, it is important to highlight its current advantages to both domestic and international companies. In order to accomplish these goals, ICEMA is working hard to develop the reputation of the Indian CE Industry both domestically and abroad. In keeping with its goal of enhancing the reputation of the Indian CE sector, ICEMA has unveiled a groundbreaking “CE Industry Catalogue” that will be a crucial tool in establishing the Indian CE sector as a top global manufacturer and exporter of a wide variety of hi-tech equipment.

The catalogue gives participants in the Indian CE ecosystem, such as OEMs, suppliers, and financiers, a chance to introduce their business and product line to potential clients both domestically and abroad. This display of capabilities and the breadth of the supply chain is anticipated to entice foreign suppliers to establish industrial bases in India. In addition to relieving pressure on the Indian CE industry, a better supply chain will also boost the government of India’s AatmaNirbhar Bharat Mission.

The catalogue will be distributed to important parties, such as the government, decision-makers, and important ministries and departments at the federal and state levels, including MoRTH, the ministries of heavy industry, finance, and railways, as well as state corporations, infrastructure firms, and NIP Task Force participants like the RBI and NHAI. The catalogue is anticipated to become a crucial resource for leading CE market participants, including OEMs, suppliers (both domestically and abroad), component producers, banks, and NBFCs. Diplomats, bureaucrats, embassies, foreign missions in India, Indian missions abroad, R&D/academic institutions, connected associations, and others are some additional important stakeholders.
