JGC Holdings Corp. of Japan has been granted an engineering, procurement, and construction contract by Saudi Aramco.
JGC will work on the onshore gas-oil separation plant and utility facilities, including water injection, as part of the agreement.
The Zuluf project, a massive oil field in the Arabian Gulf, intends to enhance Arabian heavy crude production by 600,000 barrels per day.
The group will execute work connected to the Zuluf central processing facilities with its Saudi subsidiary JGC Arabia, JGC stated in a statement, without specifying the transaction value.
“Through the implementation of such projects, the JGC Group will continue to aspire to win orders for projects planned by Saudi Aramco, realising job creation and technology transfer to many Saudi Arabians, so contributing to the ongoing growth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” it said.
