A high-speed rail corridor will connect Delhi and Rohtak so that passengers travelling from Delhi to Rohtak will benefit greatly from this fast-rail corridor. The Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) will be constructed between Delhi and Rohtak via Bahadurgarh and Sampala. The central government has identified 8 high-speed RRTS corridors connecting major towns and cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) with Delhi. In the first phase, RRTS projects including Delhi-Meerut, Delhi-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat were implemented. The other eight RRTS corridors are part of the 2032 National Capital Region (NCR) Transit Function Plan developed by the NCR Planning Board (NCRPB).

According to the latest news, these corridors will start at Sarai Kale Khan in New Delhi and will also be seamlessly integrated with other modes of transport such as Delhi Metro, Interstate Bus Terminal, Airport and Railway Station. After the first phase, the second phase of the corridor will begin, which will include Delhi Rothak, Delhi-Palwal, Ghaziabad-Kurja, Ghaziabad-Hapur and Delhi-Baraut. The approval for the Delhi-Bahadurgarh-Rohtak RRT corridor was granted in December last year. Currently, the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Rapid Rail Corridor is underway and the Haryana government has started to prepare this DPR with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).
