PWD asked to restart road construction in Jogindernagar’ Trembli panchayat

Trembli panchayat of Jogindernagar subdivision, Mandi, has urged that the state Public Works Department (PWD) restart and complete the Galu-Chaghed-Bangota road, which runs through the village, as soon as possible.

The people complained that due to the PWD’s indifference, the contractor who was awarded the contract was ignoring the project. They noted that a stretch of about 800 metres of road connecting the settlement had still to be built.

“The connection road is the lifeline of the region’s residents,” Trembli’s Rakesh Rana remarked. We had been anxiously awaiting its completion. The contractor has put the road works on hold for the past month. We approached Jogindernagar MLA Prakash Rana about the issue, but to no avail.”
