Punjab has launched a toll-free hotline for mining concerns

Following the closure of six stone crushers in Ropar’s Khera Kalmot area last week, the Punjab Mining Department has ordered all stone crushers to prominently display the number 1800 180 2422 at their mining sites for public awareness.

The general public can use the toll-free number to report illegal sand mining in their area. They can also file complaints about exorbitant sand prices, if any exist.
