In Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened and set the groundwork for 84 significant development projects valued at more than ₹1,500 crore. These initiatives include the construction of six government degree colleges, the development of industrial estates, the enhancement of the Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri Section, water supply schemes, and higher education facilities.

Modi highlighted major developments in rail connection, water and energy supply, education, health infrastructure, and infrastructure related to Kashmir. He mentioned that the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojna has resulted in the construction of thousands of kilometers of new roads, as well as new expressways, highways, and railroads. One particular point of pride that was mentioned was the Chenab railway bridge. Additionally, grid connectivity has been established for the first time in the Gurez Valley.

Modi highlighted that Kashmir now offers a plethora of prospects in a variety of industries, including sports, horticulture, agriculture, and start-ups. He noted how the valley has changed over the last ten years, becoming a center for sports, skill development, and start-ups.
