Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the longest Mahanadi River Bridge in Odisha at Gopinathpur in Cuttack on Monday.

According to the Orissa state government, this bridge is a long-standing need of the locals. It will shorten the distance between Badamba and Banki Baideswa by 45 kilometers and connect it to the temple of St. Hanat .

The 3.4-kilometer-long bridge adopts a “T”-shaped design and the construction cost is 11.1 billion rupees.
