NHAI to build triple-deck flyovers in Bengaluru

On the city’s national highway parts, the National Highways Authority of India has been charged with building triple-deck flyovers, consisting of two flyovers and a metro lane. The R V Road and Bommasandra Metro lines are part of the ongoing Phase II metro project, and the BBMP and the BMRCL have already agreed to develop the road-cum-metro flyover, whereby the BMRCL is building a flyover from Ragi Gudda Metro Station to Central Silk Board via Jayadeva Hospital. By the middle of next year, this line is anticipated to be operational.

Bengaluru city will soon feature two more road-metro flyovers as part of the projected Phase III of the Namma Metro line from J P Nagar Fourth Phase to Kempapura. The flyovers with integrated constructions will have a metro corridor on the second level and roads on the first level. These road-metro flyovers will be constructed by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) at distances of 1.563 km and 1.366 km, respectively, between Kanakapura Road Junction and Kamakya-Itamadu-Hoskerehalli Junction.
