MoRTH launches ₹3,000-cr road projects in AP

In Godawari, Andhra Pradesh, the Union Transport Minister lay the cornerstones for eight national highway projects totaling 3,000 crores. In the Godavari region, he began building three highway projects and five flyovers. Three highways – Vakalapudi – Uppada (40 km length), Rampachodavaram – Koyyuru (70 km stretch), and Samarlakota – Achampeeta (70 km stretch) – will each receive about 2,625 crores in development funding (12.5 km stretch). According to the plan to connect AP with Central India by building a network of green express roads connecting AP, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Telangana, a total of 5 lakh crores will be spent on the development of the Andhra Pradesh road network by the end of 2024.

Five flyovers will be built along NH 216A in Rajamahendravaram at a cost of 225 crores, and 1,345 crores would be spent on the development of the Kakinada and the Vakalapudi – Uppada road projects.
