Mangaluru: The next hearing on the Harekala-Adyar dam is scheduled for December 16 by the Karnataka High Court.

The next hearing on the Harekala-Adyar dam is scheduled for December 16 by the Karnataka High Court. The petitioners have alleged that the construction of the dam will result in the displacement of families and destruction of livelihoods. They have also raised concerns about the environmental impact of the project. The court will hear the arguments of both sides and decide whether to allow the construction of the dam to proceed.

Mangaluru, Dec. 14: Due to the lack of land acquisition and compensation for landowners, the High Court of Karnataka has immediately halted building on the Harekala-Adyar vented dam-cum-bridge.

Additionally, the court has ruled that any additional building activities must continue as-is until further instructions are issued.
