Liebherr Unveils Lightweight 3-Axle Crane at bauma 2025

Liebherr has unveiled the LTM 1055-3.3, the lightest 3-axle all-terrain crane on the market at bauma 2025. This 55-tonne crane is designed for maximum mobility and eliminates the need for complex and restrictive driving permits due to its low axle loads and reduced gross vehicle weight. Its innovative design allows easy operation.

The LTM 1055-3.3 offers the best prerequisites for continuing the success story of Liebherr 3-axle models and sets new standards in the process. Its lower axle loads ensure more flexibility and greater economy in daily use, eliminating the need for on roads and bridges with limited load-bearing capacity, making it ideal for regions.

Costly authorizations, escort vehicles, and restrictions on the permitted driving time on many markets. The new crane can carry up to nine tonnes of ballast, around 80 per cent of the maximum ballast, making most crane jobs possible without strict outriggers pressure indicator for optimal maintenance and availability of the crane.

The lightweight design of the LTM 1055-3.3 has the added advantage of high mobility and high lifting capacities, particularly for medium and large working radii. The standard variable support base VarioBase® Plus strengthens the crane, road regulations additional ballast transport especially in working areas above the rear.

In addition to the new crane control system and design, the LTM 1055-3-3 also has other technical features that increase efficiency, comfort, and safety. Road safety benefits from new intelligent assistance systems, RemoteDrive as standard, and new options such as a central lubrication system for the chassis and a digital tyre.

At Bauma 2025 in Munich, Liebherr introduced the LTM 1055-3.3, a lightweight, VarioBase® Plus strengthens the crane, road regulations additional ballast transport especially in working areas above the rear three-axle mobile crane designed for urban and confined job sites. This model emphasizes compactnes.

Key Features of the LTM 1055-3.3

  • Compact Design: The crane’s three-axle configuration allows for enhanced maneuverability, particularly beneficial in urban environments where space is limited and maneuverability, making it suitable for operations in tight spaces Engineered with a focus on reducing weight, the LTM 1055-3.3 offers improved fuel efficiency and easier transportation between job sites.
  • Lightweight Construction: Engineered with a focus on reducing weight, the LTM 1055-3.3 offers improved fuel efficiency and easier transportation between job sites Engineered with a focus on reducing weight, the LTM 1055-3.3 offers improved fuel efficiency and easier performance and practicality, catering to projects that demand both lifting capability.
  • Advanced Technology: Incorporating Liebherr’s latest control systems, the crane provides operators with intuitive controls and enhanced safety features operational efficiency making it suitable for operations in tight spaces Engineered with a focus on reducing weight, the LTM 1055-3.3 offers improved fuel efficiency easier transportation between job sites efficiency.

Liebherr’s unveiling of the LTM 1055-3.3 aligns with the company’s commitment to innovation and addressing the evolving needs of the construction industry. The transportation between job sites crane’s design reflects a balance between performance and practicality, catering to projects that demand both lifting capability.

At Bauma 2025, Liebherr introduced the LTM 1055-3.3, the lightest 3-axle all-terrain crane on the market. This 55-tonne crane features a 40-meter telescopic boom and achieves high lifting capacities, especially at medium and large radii. Its lightweight design enables axle loads under 9 tonnes and a total weight below 26 tonnes.
