Under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) finished building a 12-story residential skyscraper with 96 flats in just 96 days. The project was quickly constructed between April 4 and July 9 of this year in Bamandongri, Navi Mumbai, employing advanced precast technology, which uses a system in which concrete is cast in a reusable mould, cured, and delivered to the construction site. Sanjay Mukherkee, Managing Director of CIDCO, oversaw the achievement of the milestone in the PMAY’s mission of “housing for all.” In numerous locations throughout Navi Mumbai, tenement construction is currently taking place under PMAY’s mass housing schemes for economically weaker sections (EWS) and lower income groups (LIG).
