IIT Roorkee signs MOU with CSIR-CRRI to promote quality manpower in road & transportation sector

IIT Roorkee and CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) signed a memorandum of understanding to promote outstanding talents in engineering, technology and science, especially traffic engineering, traffic engineering, traffic planning, pavement design and performance evaluation, roads and traffic Bridge engineering, geotechnical engineering, environment, road safety and related fields.

According to the memorandum of understanding, CSIR-CRRI and IIT-Roorkee will encourage interaction between scientists, researchers, faculty, staff and students of the two organizations through various arrangements. Other parts mentioned in the memorandum of understanding include the sharing of facilities between the two agencies and the coordination of plans including financial arrangements.

Professor Satish Chandra, Director of CSIR-CRRI, New Delhi, said: “CSIR-CRRI is well-known for its R&D activities and execution of consulting tasks, including the dissemination of knowledge and traffic, ground improvement, and geotechnical engineering through training in roads and bridges, and transportation.

Rural roads, pavement design, pavement performance and its evaluation, instrumentation, environment and road safety. We are confident that with IIT Roorkee’s expertise in scientific and technological knowledge and scientific and technological expertise, the cooperation between the two institutions will be in the field of roads and transportation Cultivate outstanding talents.”
