Godrej & Boyce wins Rs 550+ crore orders in domestic T&D market

Godrej & Boyce Mfg. announced that its Power Infrastructure and Renewable Energy business unit has received orders for the transmission business of over Rs 550 crore. The orders include 400kV AIS substations, 220kV GIS substations, 220kV transmission lines and 220kV underground cables in the domestic power transmission and distribution market.

Raghavendra Mirji, Senior Vice President and Head of Power Infrastructure and Renewable Energy (PIRE), Godrej Electricals & Electronics, said: “The current orders further strengthen our presence in the domestic transmission and distribution market. With these orders, G&B has expanded its Portfolio of UHV substations and transmission line projects across India.”

Godrej & Boyce has been providing a range of equipment, solutions and services designed to drive efficient energy management across the industry value chain. Godrej Electricals & Electronics, a Godrej & Boyce company, entered the power transmission business in 2010 and has further strengthened its position in 400kV and above with several EHV substation projects up to 400kV commissioned in all regions of India.
