GAIL (India) Inaugurates 1st Green Hydrogen Plant in Madhya Pradesh
In Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh, GAIL (India) has officially opened its first green hydrogen factory.

With the opening of its first green hydrogen plant in Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh, GAIL (India) has taken a big step towards diversifying into new and alternative energy sources. With a purity of 99.999 percent by volume, the 10-MW proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyser, which was imported from Canada, will create about 4.3 tonnes of green hydrogen each day.

The generated hydrogen will first be used as fuel for several processes and equipment at the current facility, together with natural gas. In the future, high-pressure cascades will be used to deliver the hydrogen to retail clients in the surrounding areas.
