With effect from June 9, 2022, the name of Escorts Limited has been changed to “Escorts Kubota Limited.”Escorts and Japan’s Kubota Corporation had chosen to strengthen their relationship in order to achieve their aim of worldwide leadership in farm mechanisation and the spread of agricultural wealth.
Kubota has increased its equity stake in Escorts to 44.8 percent by subscribing to new equity shares and making an open offer to Escorts’ public shareholders, becoming a joint promoter of the company with existing promoters, the Nanda family, whose shareholding in the company has remained unchanged, and Nikhil Nanda remains Chairman and Managing Director (CMD).
“Our relationship with Kubota in Escorts Kubota Limited has been welcomed by all,” stated Nikhil Nanda, CMD of Escorts Kubota Limited.
