The DMRC has released a tender to select the design consultant for the station interiors of the planned Central Vista Metro Loop Corridor in addition to producing the detailed project report (DPR). There will be four stations along the loop corridor, which will start and terminate at the Central Secretariat. The four stations’ exits are planned to offer direct access to the office buildings through escalators, staircases, and walkways, in contrast to the normal Metro stations. The DPR’s parameters, which include the size and depth of the Metro stations, the number of coaches to be deployed, and the interior design theme, will serve as the design consultant’s guide.
According to the early designs, there will be three to four coaches deployed every train, and they are probably smaller in size as well, enabling quick movement and sharper bends. The Central Vista project and the corridor’s construction will both move forward simultaneously. Due to the Central Secretariat metro station’s role as an interchange station that links the yellow and violet lines, the corridor is expected to experience a daily peak foot traffic of 20,000 people.
