Dalmia Cement Bharat is highest bidder for two coal blocks

Dalmia Cement Bharat has become the top bidder for two coal blocks auctioned for commercial use in Jharkhand. A total of five coal mines were auctioned on the first day of the auction.

While Mahanadi Mines and Minerals emerged as the top bidder for the Odisha coal block, Yazdani Steel and Power was the top bidder for another coal mine in the eastern state. Assam Mineral Development Corporation is the highest bidder for the Assam mine.

4 coal mines have been fully explored and 1 block has been partially explored. The total geological reserves of these five coal mines are 1,188.16 million tons. The cumulative peak rated capacity of these coal mines is 5.944 million tons/year.
