The new leadership teams for 2022-2024 were elected by the Western UP Zonal Chapter and NCR – the territorial/state chapter of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (Credai). Manoj Gaur (chairman, Gaurs Group) was elected as the new president of Credai NCR, succeeding Pankaj Bajaj (Eldeco Group), and Amit Modi (County Group) was elevated as the new president of Credai Western UP chapter, succeeding Prashant Tiwari (Prateek Group).
“The last two years have been quite an adventure for the sector,” Gaur said, “but looking at government support and buyer sentiments, we are quite confident that we will have an adventure ahead.”
“This year, developers will face both challenges and opportunities, so we must reconsider how we can use this turning point to reimagine our collective potential.” The team hopes to create a highly conducive environment for Indian real estate and all of its stakeholders in order to shape the region’s real estate sector’s future,” Gaur added.
“This year, in addition to Covid-19, our focus will be on ‘Streamlining existing approval systems / processes,’ revival of stressed projects in the area – under existing provisions, economy, environmental concerns, and access to capital for infrastructure development in order to maintain and enhance the movement of real estate,” Modi said. We will also attempt to address the ‘issues’ that buyers are experiencing as a result of various limitations imposed by our esteemed members, as this will aid in the restoration of positive sentiments.”
The team will collaborate with Credai National to implement its manifesto, which includes the Skill Development Programme, Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum operations, Clean City Movement, Educational Scholarship Fund, CSR activities, and Heritage initiatives revitalised with a new vigour following the implementation of landmark reforms like RERA and GST.
