WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — According to police, a 23-year-old construction worker died after falling from a 13-story balcony of a condominium building in West Palm Beach.
Delores Yamilety Martinez-Ponce was working at the La Clara condominium construction site on Saturday morning when she fell.
According to police spokesman Mike Jachles, no one knows what happened.
She was installing flooring for a flooring company shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday.
She was pronounced dead at the spot after falling to the second storey.
The case is being investigated by police and the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The 25-story structure is set to be completed next year.
