These mines have a combined annual capacity of 165.58 million tonne, according to Chairman and MD Pramod Agrawal, and they will make a sizable contribution to production in the upcoming years. Ten of these projects are opencast, with a projected capacity of 161.50 million tonnes per year, and four are underground, with a projected capacity of 4.08 million tonnes per year.

Six successful bidders for these MDO projects, with a combined annual capacity of 96.74 million tonne, have received letters of acceptance.
