Around 12 PM IST, users started reporting problems with ChatGPT, according to Downdetector, a real-time problem and outage monitoring website. Thirty minutes later, the maximum outages were observed.
Approximately 81% of respondents reported having problems with ChatGPT, 14% with the website, and 5% with the app.
Netizens are swarming to X (previously Twitter) to see if it is functioning for them or other users while ChatGPT is unavailable. Many have even taken advantage of the chance to spread memes. A few people who use ChatGPT frequently have expressed worries about its functionality.

At 2:02 PM IST, about an hour later, the firm announced that they have located the problem and are taking steps to mitigate it. After a half-hour, the corporation sent out another update to the users informing them that they are still working on a solution.
