Central Railway Issues Tender for Construction Project in Maharashtra

As part of the new Broad Gauge (BG) line project in Maharashtra, Central Railway has released a tender for the building of small bridges, drainage and track connections in the Kalamb-Yavatmal segment.

In conjunction with the Wardha-Nanded via Yavatmal new BG line project, the scope of work includes earthwork in the areas of embankment and cutting, minor bridge construction (including RUBs), side drains and catchwater drains, P-way work (track linking) and ballast supply in the Kalamb-Yavatmal section from ch. 40700 to ch. 78200 [excluding tunnel approach from ch. 51250 to ch. 60351].

The contract, valued at Rs 154.63 crore, has an 18-month completion time, and the deadline for bid submissions is May 27, 2024.
