AUDA approves nine flyovers worth ₹660 cr

Six bids totaling 660 crore rupees have been authorised by the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority for the construction of nine flyovers and an underpass on SP Ring Road. While an underpass is being considered for the Ognaj junction, flyovers will be constructed at the intersections of Sindhu Bhavan, Shilaj, and Tapovan.

The construction of these flyovers will be funded by an ADB-secured loan. Flyover construction over Bakrol has been integrated into a single tender, while flyover construction over Hathijan, Ramol, and Panjrapole has also been combined into a single tender. A fourth tender was prepared for the construction of flyovers over Shilaj and Sindhu Bhavan junctions, a fifth tender was issued for the Oganj underpass, and a sixth tender was prepared for the flyover at Tapovan Circle. Another single tender was floated for the construction of flyovers over Dastan and Nikol junctions. According to the DPR that AUDA filed to ADB Bank, it has obtained a 1,900 crore loan from the bank for infrastructure projects.

In Ghuma, Shela, Godhavi, Manipur, Sanathal, and Telav, Auda planned infrastructure projects totaling Rs 270 crore, including a sewerage network and a storm-water network of Rs 115 crore each. In addition to this, a separate budget has been agreed for the construction of nine flyovers and one underpass on SP Ring Road.
