A 13-kilometer elevated motorway along the Yamuna floodplain is being planned by Delhi.

The Delhi government has asked its Public Works Department to move forward with its plan to construct a 13-kilometer elevated corridor along the Yamuna floodplains. Between the Signature Bridge in Wazirabad in north Delhi and the Kalindi Kunj bypass in the south, a new road will be built. Satyendar Jain, the Minister of Public Works, stated that the department will now perform a feasibility assessment before preparing a formal project report.

The PWD proposes to build the road parallel to the Outer Ring Road near Majnu Ka Tila and the Inner Ring Road near Sarai Kale Khan, and it will connect all eight bridges over the Yamuna – Signature bridge, Old Iron bridge, Geeta Colony, Vikas Marg, Nizamuddin bridge, and Barapullah Phase-III, which is currently under construction – along the way, The Kalindi bypass and the Delhi Noida Direct (DND) flyway.
