Galileo Mining sets RC drill turning at Callisto palladium discovery within Norseman Project

“Palladium, platinum, gold, copper, nickel, and rhodium have all been found in the mineralisation so far, and the grades look to be improving towards the eastern target zone.” According to MD, “the long prospective strike, together with the dense and consistent mineralisation drilled to date, shows the possibility for a significant mineralised system.”

Galileo Mining Ltd (ASX:GAL) has begun drilling at the Callisto palladium-rich multi-element finding inside the Norseman Project in Western Australia, with the goal of targeting eastern extensions of the prospect’s major sulphide zone.

The business has identified priority targets for this round of reverse circulation (RC) drilling, which will focus on locations where previously reported palladium-platinum-gold-nickel-copper-rhodium intersections have been found at shallow depths:

144 metres at 2.05 g/t 4E (1.64 g/t palladium, 0.28 g/t platinum, 0.09 g/t gold, 0.05 g/t rhodium), 0.32 percent copper, and 0.30 percent nickel; 33 metres at 2.05 g/t 4E (1.64 g/t palladium, 0.28 g/t platinum, 0.09 g/t gold, 0.05 g/t rhodium);

135 metres at 1.60 g/t 3E (1.32 g/t palladium, 0.21 g/t platinum, 0.07 g/t gold), 0.25 percent copper, and 0.26 percent nickel; 22 metres at 1.60 g/t 3E (1.32 g/t palladium, 0.21 g/t platinum, 0.07 g/t gold);

137 metres at 1.58 g/t 3E (1.29 g/t palladium, 0.22 g/t platinum, 0.07 g/t gold), 0.27 percent copper, and 0.26 percent nickel; and, 28 metres at 1.58 g/t 3E (1.29 g/t palladium, 0.22 g/t platinum, 0.07 g/t gold), 0.27 percent copper, and 0.26 percent nickel

From a depth of 124 metres, 19 metres yielded 1.69 g/t 3E (1.38 g/t palladium, 0.23 g/t platinum, 0.09 g/t gold), 0.24 percent copper, and 0.28 percent nickel.

“Large mineralised system potential”

“It’s fantastic to be back drilling at Callisto so quickly after the first drill program’s results were released in May,” said Galileo Mining managing director Brad Underwood.

“The present drilling intends to build on the early discoveries, with 50-meter spacing across strike and drill lines running parallel to the strike to the north.

“Palladium, platinum, gold, copper, nickel, and rhodium have all been found in the mineralisation so far, and the grades look to be improving towards the eastern target zone.”

“The broad prospective strike combined with the thick and consistent mineralisation drilled to date suggests the possibility of a massive mineralised system.”

“This round of drilling will consist of approximately 20 holes, and we are excited to share the results of this exciting new discovery with the market.”
