Cengrs Geotechnica has begun geotechnical and geophysical investigation work for Package DC-05 of the Delhi Metro Magenta Line’s 28.92 km Janakpuri West – RK Ashram extension, under a subcontract from Afcons Infrastructure. This is the extension’s final civil package, on which work has begun. Derawal Nagar and RK Ashram are connected by this 7.46 km underground section of the 65.1 km Delhi Metro Phase 4 project, which includes six stations at Derawal Nagar, Ghanta Ghar, Pulbangash (interchange with Red Line), Sadar Bazar, Nabi Karim, and Ramakrishna Ashram Marg (interchange with Blue Line).

Afcons was awarded the $2,481.50 crore Package DC-05 contracts with a 42-month deadline and has since begun organising machinery and manpower. Cengrs will drill 110 exploratory boreholes in soil and rock to a depth of 45 metres.
