46 highway projects worth Rs 19,930 crore launched in Karnataka

Road Transport and Highways Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has laid the groundwork for 46 national road projects to be constructed in Karnataka with a total investment of Rs 19,930 crore.

The 238-kilometer, Rs 3,972 crore national road project will improve interstate road connections from Belgarve and Karnataka to Maharashtra and Goa.

At Hubbali, he inaugurated and laid the foundations for 26 national road projects. The Rs 12,795 crore investment of 26 highways with a total length of 925 km will improve connectivity within the state by providing seamless, safe and faster transport from villages to district headquarters to Bengaluru.

He has paved 15 highways in Mangaluru worth Rs 3,163 crore. These roads will improve interstate connectivity by enabling seamless travel from Karnataka to Goa while ensuring the safety of commuters on the Ghat Highway.
