Work on Gurgaon-Rewari highway kicks off after over a year

The Minister of Road Transport and Road Union Nitin Gadkari approved a road project worth 20,000 crore in Haryana on Tuesday and laid the cornerstones for 11 of them (via video conference), including a 46 km four-lane road from Gurgaon The highway goes to Rewari via Pataudi.

The proposed expressway is expected to be completed in December 2022 at a cost of Rs 1,524 crore. This highway on National Highway 352 (NH-352) will be part of a 132-kilometer road that will connect Gulgram to the state border of Rajasthan outside of Narnaul.

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), which will build this highway, plans to spend nearly 45 billion rupees on the entire project, of which 23 billion rupees are expected to be used to acquire most of the agricultural land. “Farmers will get the money. NHAI Chairman Sukhbir Singh Sandhu said that the logistics center to be built in Mahendragarh will also benefit from this highway. Highways, because access will become easier. On Tuesday, Gadkari also launched three road projects in Haryana, including a four-lane road from Rohana and Hasangarh to Jhajjar, a four-lane road from Haryana-Punjab border to Kinder, and a road from Jind A two-lane highway from Germany to Canal.

In addition, he also laid the cornerstones for seven other road projects, including a six-lane access control road from Ismailabad to Narnaul, and a road from Revali to Atlimandi.
