Two separate construction companies have been assigned to the project, which includes the six-laning of the 75.543-kilometer Ludhiana-Bathinda national highway. While Ram Kumar contractor was awarded package 1 of the 30.3-kilometer greenfield expressway, Ceigall India Ltd was awarded package 2 of the 45.243-kilometer stretch on the NH-754-AD. The project’s two packages, totaling 1,716 crores, are expected to be completed in two years.
