Leading producer of building materials and India’s third-largest Wall Putty manufacturer, Walplast Products Pvt. Ltd., has strengthened its production capacity in the South by launching two new plants in Chennai and Perundurai, Tamil Nadu. These plants are dedicated to White Products and have annual capacities of 150,000 and 180,000 metric tonnes, respectively. In order to further solidify its position in the industry, the firm plans to add two more plants in the ensuing fiscal year 2024–2025. According to Kaushal Mehta, Managing Director, “the first of these two plants, which is slated for June 2024, is located in Nanhwara, Katni, Madhya Pradesh, and will house a Grinding Unit for Wall Putty and White Products.”
Modern technology like the newest Vertical Roller Mill GU and a high-intensity blender will be included in this state-of-the-art facility, which has an amazing capacity of 600 metric tonnes per day and 216,000 metric tonnes annually. As an additional example of Walplast’s dedication to environmental sustainability, it will have a sewage treatment plant, he continued. In June 2024, the business plans to establish a facility in Khapoli, Maharashtra, to expand its product line to include Grey Products, which includes Ready Mix Plaster, Block Jointing Mortar and Tile Adhesive. The plant has an annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes.
“Volume growth for our Homesure Tile Ex Tile Adhesive brand increased by 51%; Rajasthan saw the most rise, followed by Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu. Homesure GypEx Gypsum Plaster had a significant 101% increase in volumes, while Homesure WallEx AAC Blocks in Tamil Nadu saw an astounding 151% growth,” he continued.
There was a noteworthy 35% increase in volume for Homesure Scratch Ex Textures in Jharkhand, and a remarkable 24% increase in volume for Homesure GypEx Gypsum Boards in Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh. In addition, he said, “the company successfully launched two new products last year, namely Homesure Master Touch Paints (Emulsions, Primer, Distempers) & Homesure W-shield (Waterproofing solutions), further diversifying its product portfolio and solidifying its position as an industry leader.”
