Volvo Trucks India Showcases Off-Road Dump Truck And Construction Tipper At Excon 2022

Volvo Trucks India displayed two of its most recent vehicles at Excon 2022. The Volvo FMX 500 8×4 off-road dump truck and Volvo FM 420 8×4 23 Cu.M construction tipper are part of the Volvo FM and FMX truck line, which will be utilised for removal projects and other mining applications, as well as transportation solutions for road construction, irrigation, and quarry operations. Both of these items are fully integrated with Volvo Connect and provide real-time information to increase operational efficiency, uptime, and productivity.

The Volvo FMX 500 8×4 off-road dump truck has a bodybuilding module ECU that prohibits the truck from surpassing 5 kmph when the dump body is elevated. The Volvo Dynamic Steering (VDS) system keeps the vehicle steady even while carrying large workloads. The FMX 500 8×4 off-road dump truck has a new driver cabin as well. It also has the most recent engine management system, better gearshift programming, and a few small engine design modifications to boost fuel economy. It has a 405-litre gasoline tank. It also gains a 15% increase in cargo capacity.

The Volvo FM 420 8×4 23 Cu.M construction tipper is powered by a 13-litre engine that produces 418 horsepower @ 1,400-1,800 rpm and 2,100 Nm @860-1,400 rpm. The engine has been tweaked to achieve a higher average vehicle speed while using less fuel, and the engine management system has been enhanced with various design enhancements to achieve maximum fuel efficiency.
