To support Kutch Chemical Industries’ growth ambitions for the caustic soda (NaOH) plant in Padana, Gujarat, India, thyssenkrupp nucera will provide a licence and unique equipment. The current plant, which has been in operation since 2020, comprises of five electrolyzers that use the BM Single Element technology that is exclusive to thyssenkrupp nucera. With this development, the capacity will more than quadruple to 670 metric tonnes of NaOH each day (100 percent ). The project is expected to be finished and put into service in 2023; the contract’s estimated value is in the low double-digit million-euro range. By making this investment, Kutch Chemical Industries hopes to improve its competitiveness and address both regional and domestic demand growth for basic chemicals.
