The Central government has proposed the construction of 64 strategic roads totaling 3,508 kilometres and 103 bridges along the India-China, Indo-Pakistan, and Indo-Myanmar border areas, at a cost of over 31,000 crore. Projects in India-China border areas would receive nearly 78 percent of the total investment, while roads proposed in India-Pakistan border areas would receive another 14 percent of the total investment.
