In the Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh, an Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) airfield on National Highway 16 close to Addanki was used by Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter and cargo aircraft for operations. Fighters Su-30 and Hawk performed overshoots, and transport planes An-32 and Dornier made landings and takeoffs from the strip. The activation showed how well civil agencies, including the IAF, NHAI, district administration, and state police, could coordinate.
