The ₹1,750 Cr National Highway Projects in Mirzapur are revealed by MoRTH

In Mirzapur, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has started work on two ₹1,750 crore National Highway projects. Along the 15 km of National Highway 135A, the first project is building a 4-lane Mirzapur bypass with a 6-lane bridge over the Ganga river. In addition, 59 km of National Highways 35 and 330 will be repaired. These routes go from Mirzapur to Prayagraj and from Prayagraj to Pratapgarh.

In March 2024, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) unveiled two significant National Highway projects in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, with a combined investment exceeding ₹1,750 crore. These initiatives aim to enhance regional connectivity, alleviate traffic congestion, and stimulate economic growth in the area.

1. Four-Lane Mirzapur Bypass with Six-Lane Ganga Bridge:
   • Route: This project involves constructing a 15-kilometer four-lane bypass on National Highway 135A, which includes a six-lane bridge over the Ganga River.

   • Objective: The rehabilitation work aims to improve road quality, enhance safety, and ensure efficient movement of goods and passengers along these vital corridors.
