Tata Power Gains NCVET Recognition to Advance Green Energy Skilling

Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company, has been officially recognized as a Dual Awarding Body (AB-Dual) under the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET). Under this collaboration, TPSDI serves as NSDC’s Training Partner, delivering industry-aligned programs focusing on green energy, power transmission, distribution, and industrial safety.

These programs emphasize hands-on training, ensuring that trainees acquire practical skills aligned with the demands of the energy transition and the goal of achieving a net-zero workforce The institute also intends to introduce courses in emerging domains such as energy storage, green hydrogen, and pumped hydro, aligning with India’s rapidly evolving green energy ecosystem.

Looking ahead, TPSDI plans to expand its reach by establishing additional training centers across the country, complementing its existing network of 11 centers.
