South Asia’s largest construction equipment trade fair EXCON from today

On 17 May at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and General V K Singh, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways and Civil Aviation, will inaugurate the CII EXCON – South Asia’s largest construction equipment trade fair. Deepak Shetty, Chairman of CII EXCON, addressed the media.

saying, “Excon is South Asia’s largest construction equipment exhibition. Its goal is to provide a focused platform for the construction equipment and component industry, raise awareness among all stakeholders about recent developments, and enable the adoption of world-class technologies for faster infrastructure project implementation in the country.”

“Excon will reflect the exhibition’s theme elements and will also set the tone for Atma Nirbhar Bharat’s infrastructure development. India is on track to become the world’s manufacturing and export hub for construction equipment, thanks to the presence of large OEMs and a strong supply chain backed by a thriving components sector “Shetty stated.

Dimitrov Krishna, co-chairman of CII EXCON, stated, “The Indian construction equipment industry has the potential to be a critical fulcrum, propelling infrastructure development and assisting allied industries in meeting their growth goals. The Indian CE industry is poised for exponential growth in the coming decade, buoyed by a stable economic environment and a strong growth agenda pursued by the government.”

“Karnataka is emerging as a vibrant manufacturing hub in the country,” said Arjun Ranga, Chairman, CII Karnataka. The Karnataka government is introducing new initiatives to boost the manufacturing sector and increase the share of exports from the state in order to boost the GSDP. With a large presence of OEMs and component industries participating in Excon, the state’s manufacturing potential will be demonstrated.
