Sika is opening a new technology center and manufacturing plant in Pune to produce high-quality adhesives and sealants.
The development of the new R&D laboratory and the production of the new factory are designed to meet the rapidly growing demand of the Indian market. In its three new production lines, Sika mainly produces products for transportation, construction and renewable energy.
Pune is located 100 kilometers southeast of Mumbai Port and is one of India’s major industrial centers. The city and its clusters represent more than 8 million people. Especially car manufacturers and car suppliers have settled in Pune and nearby Maharashtra. Located in one of the main logistics hubs in the region, the New Sika factory has a strategic location and a complete transportation infrastructure to ensure fast and reliable delivery of goods to customers.

India is now the fifth largest auto market in the world. From now to 2030, the construction industry is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 6.5%. During the same period, the annual growth rate of the automobile industry should exceed 10%.
