On Friday, police arrested a security engineer and three others for an accident on Thursday night at the Blue Grass Enterprise Park site under construction near the Wadia bungalow in Shastrinagar, Yerawada, which left five employees useless and five injured.
Opposition builders, contractors and others associated with the development have registered a guilty murder that does not amount to homicide and a different price. “We have arrested 4 men who are currently on the site and they are initially responsible,” Yunus Shaikh, a senior inspector of Yelawada police, told TOI.
“The arrested were security engineer Imtiaz Abul Barkat Ansari (38), website director Mohammed Sharif Habibul Rehman Alam (35), website engineer Vijay Eknath Dhaktonde (25) and website director Majid Alisa Khan (45),” Shaikh Say.
The huge galvanized wire mesh used to support the concrete slabs (used to cover the building’s basement) collapsed and trapped some employees at the time of the accident. “The staff have been busy tying the metal mesh. At first glance, we believe that the assistance of the metal mesh is not correct,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (District IV) Rohidas Pawar.
