The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has invited bids for a residential development of land parcel at Driver Tola Colony of Katihar, in the eastern part of Bihar. The reserve price for the site is fixed at ₹11.70 crores. The land parcel in Part A is about 8170 sqm, which will be used for railway colony redevelopment while 17,746 sqm of land in Part B will be leased to the selected Bidder for a period of 99 years.
The Railway Colony at Driver Tola is located next to the railway station on the east side. Both road and rail connectivity are available to the proposed residential development site. RLDA’s VC, Ved Parkash Dudeja, stated that Katihar is a key city in Bihar, with a thriving agriculture and textile sector, making it one of the state’s most vital locations. The planned site is a well-connected residential area in close proximity to significant metropolitan monuments, such as National Highway 131-A. Social infrastructure, such as schools, clinics, banks, and ATMs, is likewise well-developed.
