A tender has been released by Central Railway to build major bridges, road over bridges (ROBs), and other civil structures on the Maharashtra route between Solapur and Tuljapur. An estimated ₹942.03 crore is allocated for the project, which comprises earthwork, major and minor bridges, ROBs, road under bridges, pedestrian crossings and subways with limited height, retaining walls, drains, track laying, and civil works like residential quarters, platforms, station buildings, and fencing along the alignment from Solapur to Tuljapur, excluding the tunnel portion. There is a 30-month contract period, and the deadline for bid submissions is August 6, 2024.
