Railway Minister Inaugurates Key Rail Infrastructure Upgrades

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw dedicated the addition of five platforms at a railway station to handle 12-coach EMU trains, enhancing capacity by 3 lakh people daily for suburban commuters. He also inaugurated passenger services over the newly commissioned.

Nashipur Railway Bridge in Murshidabad, West Bengal, fulfilling a long-standing local demand. New train services were also introduced, including as the passenger train between Krishnanagar and Azimganj, the Azimganj-Cossimbazar MEMU, and the Sealdah-Ranaghat EMU. Vaishnaw also kicked off the Radhikapur–Anand Vihar Terminal Express, creating the first direct rail link between Radhikapur, West Bengal, and Delhi.
