PWD plans multiple road infra projects in Delhi

Three significant road infrastructure projects have been planned by the Public Works Department, including an extension of the current Punjabi Bagh flyover, the construction of elevated corridors from Anand Vihar to the Apsara border, and the installation of underpasses near the Haiderpur-Badli Metro Station. To accommodate traffic flow from Vivek Vihar.

Surya Nagar, and Ramprastha Colony, the elevated corridor will have flyovers at the Surya Nagar and Ramprastha traffic crossings. The Interstate Bus Terminus and railroad station in Anand Vihar, a major transit hub, are where the 1.4 km long flyover would start. Additionally, it is the main route from northeast Delhi to Noida and Ghaziabad, which has resulted in a significant increase in traffic.

In addition to the elevated corridor, the department will construct two ramps to provide direct access to the flyover. There are three important crossings below the flyover: two between Vivek Vihar and Surya Nagar, and one near Ramprastha Colony. At Punjabi Bagh, PWD will construct two flyovers, four U-turns, a broader sidewalk, and a bigger pedestrian tunnel.
