The Punjab government has given its approval for the development of a contemporary residential township in Mohali, which is located on the outskirts of Chandigarh. The township, according to the CM, will provide inexpensive accommodation to the people of Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula. He told department staff and the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority to come up with a plan and a concrete proposal. The township will be a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and luxury, as well as all necessary safety features, such as firefighting. A section of the township will be developed as an ideal industrial centre, with industrialists from all over the country invited to set up shop in and around the township.
