India’s President, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, met with Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth during a state visit to Mauritius, pledging to strengthen their partnership.
Leaders exchanged four agreements, including a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the International Financial Services Centres Authority and the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius, a Protocol to amend the India-Mauritius Double Tax Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) to comply with BEPS Minimum Standards, and an MoU between the Central Bureau of Investigation of India and the Independent Commission Against Corruption of Mauritius.
President Murmu and Prime Minister Jugnauth inaugurated 14 community development projects funded by India and laid the foundation for a new Forensic Science Laboratory with Indian assistance.
