PM launches ₹1,200 cr infra projects in Varanasi

The Prime Minister has laid the cornerstones for numerous projects worth $1,200 crore in Varanasi, including widening the existing four-lane road into a stretch of four lanes from Kuchaheri to Sandaha and converting the existing road from four lanes to six lanes starting from Lahartara — BHU to Vijaya Cinema. In addition, they include the construction of five new highways and four CC roads in the Varanasi rural area, as well as a road overpass next to the Babatpur train station on the Babatpur-Chaubeypur route.

The initiatives will contribute significantly to a large reduction in both metropolitan and rural vehicle traffic. The construction of the “Paavan Path for Asht Vinakaya,” the “Dwadash Jyotirling Yatra,” the “Asht Bhairaw Yatra,” the “Nav Gauri Yatra,” the tourism development work of five stoppages in the “Panchkosi Parikrama Yatra Marg,” and the tourism development of various wards in Old Kashi are all projects that the PM launched in order to boost tourism in the area. He also lay the groundwork for Phase 1 of the Sigra sports stadium’s renovation.
